My Programmes

As an experienced secondary school drama teacher and senior school leader, my programmes combine professional-level training with a friendly, inclusive approach.

The Confidence Builder Programme

For 11-16 year olds

6 sessions - 1 session a fortnight

Each session is 4 hours- 10am-2pm

£35 per session

Location: TBC

This engaging workshop utilising drama is designed for young people who want to:

Grow their confidence and self-esteem
Develop communication skills
Have fun in a supportive environment

What to expect?

A small group format (max 10 students)
Interactive drama games and exercises
Improvisation and character work
Practical communication techniques
Aspects of psychology and sociology
Opportunities to present in a relaxed setting
A safe and supportive environment where you can develop at your own pace

The confidence accelerator programme

For 11-16 year olds

Week long programme- Monday- Friday

10am-2pm

£35 per day

Location: TBC

This week long programme is an immersive experience designed for young people to accelerate their confidence in a fun, supportive environment with like minded people.

What to expect?

Make lasting friendships with a small group of like minded people
Explore a theme through fun, practical activities
Work as part of a team to devise a performance with a central message (this will NOT be performed to an audience)
Feel a strong sense of connection and belonging and increased self-esteem
Feel empowered, happy and proud of who they are and what they have achieve

Giving teens who feel shy, anxious or unsure of themselves a confidence toolkit that empowers, inspires and moitvates.

My Mission

Welcome to The Confidence Teacher!

My name is Kat and I'm a qualified secondary school drama teacher and senior leader with over 14 years of experience.

The world we live in is a complex place, especially for our young people. Social media has radicalised our social norms, forcing many young people to question their values, their purpose and their identity. Our school systems demand exceptional levels of scholarship with huge demands on young people to compete academically for the best grades.

This can come at the cost of students' personal development and, increasingly, their mental and emotional health. The relentless pursuit of academic qualifications can also fail to develop the skills that employers are crying out for...creativity, innovation, effective communication, leadership potential and confidence.

This is where I come in!

I am dedicated to equipping young people with these critical skills that will support their long term health and wealth. My role is to give them the edge that will lead to success. Utilising my specialism in drama, I create a friendly, safe and supportive environment where every young person is seen, heard and supported on a personal level.

I only work work with small groups to ensure the highest quality provision and the most beneficial experience.
